New favorite quotes.
And from my two favorite people.
“Despair is typical of those who do not understand the causes of evil, see no way out, and are incapable of struggle. The modern industrial proletariat does not belong to the category of such classes.”
-Vladimir Lenin
Aaaaaaaand!
“Life is not an easy matter… You cannot live through it without falling into frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of perfidy and baseness.”
-Leon Trotsky
I can do nothing but comment on the remarkable accuracy so eloquently expressed here, Mr. Trotsky.
Somehow I doubt this is what he had in mind, but being trans I find this particularly striking, regarding that personal misery bit.
Really, how else can one face a world so backwards and marred with evil without capacity to rise above and change? Transcending this wretched place of deceit and despair it becomes self evident that the only viable option is that of revolution.
